A warning the Reserve Bank is walking a fine line

Infometrics expects an OCR cut to 2.25 percent next month - down from the current 2.5 percent.

It says that combined with other measures, will accelerate growth to 2.3 percent a year by 2027.

Infometrics Chief Forecaster Gareth Kiernan says there's a risk with the OCR falling that low.

He says there's the risk of creating inflation heading into 2027.
