    Retailer Strandbags is in hot water for its discounting practices


    The Commerce Commission has filed seven charges against the Australasian bag company under the Fair Trading Act.

    It alleges Strandbags promoted products as on sale when they cost their usual price - between mid 2018 and early 2020.

    Some items were reportedly 'marked down' from prices it had never been sold at.

    Bike Barn was fined 800-thousand dollars for misleading pricing in 2017.
