    Wellington city council has passed it's Long Term Plan - including a 13.5 percent rates increase


    Councillors spent the day thrashing out the details, attempting to bring a proposed 16 percent rates increase back down to 13.5.

    Notable additions to the budget are a 226 million dollar investment for cycleways, and 7.7 million dollars for city safety improvements.
