Auckland's water and wastewater prices will increase from July

Auckland's water and wastewater prices will increase from July

The bills will rise by seven percent - a first of yearly rate hikes for the next 10 years.

Watercare chief executive Jon Lamonte says the increase will go towards the funding gap Covid has left.

For most Auckland households, this year's increase equates to about an extra one dollar 50 a week.
