Wellingtonians are being urged to look at new housing data with a grain of salt

CoreLogic has found 67 suburbs now have a median house value of more than one-million dollars, with Seatoun sitting at just over 2.1 million.

Another 92 suburbs have increased by more than 100 thousand dollars, with 61 increasing by more than 200-thousand.

CoreLogic Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says it's not necessarily time to break out the champagne.

He says people have to remember they're buying and selling in the same market, and flat house prices could be better for many people.
