A lift in the number of people hitting the slopes this year

A lift in the number of people hitting the slopes this year

Fully vaccinated Australians can now fly into New Zealand without the need to isolate.

NZ Ski, which manages Queenstown's Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski fields, has found bookings are well up on last year.

Chief Executive Paul Anderson says that's encouraging, as borders were open to a degree this time last year.

He says their sales partner in Australia has told them enquiries are strong, and bookings are about three quarters of pre-pandemic levels.
