New Zealand's getting its economic recovery into gear - but at a measured pace

ASB's latest quarterly forecast highlights a pick up in domestic activity - as we shake off the post-COVID slump.
Chief economist Nick Tuffley says exports are playing a key role in our economic boost - particularly dairy, beef and tourism.
He says we've also started seeing a recent downwards shift in average mortgage rates.
He says over the course of the year, we'll see that rate effectively drop - which will give households more cash to support retail.
