Net migration has turned a slight corner -- but is still historically low

Latest Stats NZ estimates show the net figure reached just 12-thousand-400 annually to September.
That's up from about 10-thousand-300 from the year to May.
More than 46-thousand New Zealand citizens left the country in the year to September - just short of the record high reached in the year to May.
Almost 60-percent of departures were Kiwis moving to Australia.
