Ryan Fox has plenty of work to do but believes he can make the cut at the US Open

The Kiwi golfer will start the second round at four over par, nine shots off the pace being set by American Justin Thomas.

Fox is back in a tie for 92nd needing to make the top 60 plus ties to play over the weekend.

He still thinks the winning score will likely be over par.

Danny Lee is well placed on even par in a tie for 22nd.
