The Wellington Phoenix are relieved to have striker Tomer Hemed back in their starting lineup

The Wellington Phoenix are relieved to have striker Tomer Hemed back in their starting lineup

The Phoenix, who sit bottom of the A-League table, do battle with the Newcastle Jets tonight -- their third game in eight days.

The former Premier League forward's returning from a minor hamstring injury sustained two weeks ago.

Coach Ufuk Talay says Hemed is crucial to turning the page on their dreadful season start.

Action from Newcastle starts at ten past eight.
