White Ferns vice-captain Amy Satterthwaite has reluctantly exited the international cricket stage after more than 14 years at the top

White Ferns vice-captain Amy Satterthwaite has reluctantly exited the international cricket stage after more than 14 years at the top

New Zealand's most-capped women's 50-over player - with 145 matches - made the decision after being advised she would not be offered an annual playing contract for the coming season.

Satterthwaite has a contract with Manchester in the women's Hundred competition in August, so could still be on standby for a call-up.

Jordie Barrett has been left out of the Hurricanes lineup for Saturday's final regular-season Super Rugby match against the Force in Perth.

The utility back's been listed as unavailable for the match, as has Ruben Love who left the field injured during last weekend's win over the Rebels in Wellington.

Former Silver Fern Joan Hodson believes the Northern Mystics' ANZ Premiership hopes hinge on Grace Nweke recovering from her ankle injury.

The 20-year-old shooter is expected to return in time for the elimination final on June 8.
