Swimmers are being urged to be careful, before going for a dip this summer

Swimmers are being urged to be careful, before going for a dip this summer

ACC's 2024 data ending in October reveals there were around 7-thousand swimming injury claims, at the cost of around 28 million dollars.

3-thousand injuries occurred in a pool, almost five times the amount sustained at the beach.

ACC's Injury Prevention Leader James Whitaker says wherever you're swimming the same safety advice applies.

He says don't overestimate your ability and always keep an eye on your children.
