    Fan favourite Frenchman Gael Monfils has stormed back from a set and 2-5 down to reach the ASB Classic's second round


    Monfils has beaten Spaniard Pedro Martinez 1-6 7-6 6-3 for a spot in the last 16 in Auckland - after his rival had served for the match in the second set.

    Earlier, Kiwi-raised Brit Cam Norrie was ousted by a lucky loser from Argentina in straight sets, leaving him frustrated.
