New South Wales coach Laurie Daley's backing Nathan Cleary as his first-choice goal-kicker, despite a wayward night off the tee in their opening 18-6 State of Origin triumph over Queensland in Brisbane

New South Wales coach Laurie Daley's backing Nathan Cleary as his first-choice goal-kicker, despite a wayward night off the tee in their opening 18-6 State of Origin triumph over Queensland in Brisbane

The Penrith play-maker was successful with one attempt from five - all four Blues tries went unconverted.

Mitch Moses, Zac Lomax and Latrell Mitchell each kick goals at NRL level.

Daley says his faith in Cleary remains.

The next match is in Perth on June 18.
