Departing Silver Fern Karin Burger reckons it may take a year or two for the next wave of ANZ Premiership players to get up to speed

The 63-cap defender's become the fifth test player to sign with an Australia Super Netball club under an eligibility exemption, leaving the Mainland Tactix for the Sunshine Coast Lightning.

Burger says everyone's so worried about the players leaving, they're not considering the opportunities for young players.

Former Ferns skipper Ameliaranne Ekenasio and midcourter Whitney Souness are leaving the Magic and Pulse respectively - their futures are yet to be confirmed.
