Captain Pat Carrigan has revealed a conversation with Reece Walsh in the sin-bin helped spur Brisbane to their come-from-behind NRL playoff win over the Raiders in Canberra

The Broncos trailed by 16 points in the second half as the pair sat together on the naughty chair - only to storm home and eventually win 29-28 in extra time.

Carrigan says their time in the bin fuelled a fire.



Walsh has escaped with a pair of fines - one for his head-butt on Raiders forward Hudson Young and another for contrary conduct, likely involving flipping the bird to the home crowd as he went to the bin.

Carrigan faces a one-match ban for a careless high tackle.
