Leicester Fainga'anuku's starting efforts for the All Blacks against the Wallabies in Perth after nearly two years out of test rugby have seen him retain a bench spot for Sunday morning's fixture against Ireland in Chicago

Caleb Clarke returns on the left wing, but Fainga'anuku has kept the likes of Rieko Ioane and Billy Proctor out of the 23.

Coach Scott Robertson sums up the decision.

Loosehead prop Ethan de Groot and first-five Beauden Barrett also return to the run-on side after recovering from injuries.
