How McLaren fight for the Formula One championship in Abu Dhabi next weekend is set for high intrigue

How McLaren fight for the Formula One championship in Abu Dhabi next weekend is set for high intrigue

Red Bull rival Max Verstappen's victory at the Qatar Grand Prix has moved him to second in the standings, just 12 points off Lando Norris.

McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri is a further four points back in third.

Team principal Andrea Stella has been questioned on whether Piastri will be required to assist Norris' title bid.

Stella's also admitted the team got it wrong when not pitting Norris and Piastri during an early safety car, which ultimately gave Verstappen the advantage.
