Six weeks after the nightmare Australian tour ended, the Black Caps are allowing themselves a moment's celebration after knocking off the best test side on the planet

New Zealand's won the first test against India by ten wickets, rolling the tourists for 191 on day four at the Basin Reserve and then scoring the required nine runs to win.

Paceman Tim Southee - who took nine wickets for the test - is grateful to move on from the Australian losses.

Captain Kane Williamson agrees a return to what's worked for them before has paid dividends.
