The final piece of the Hagley Oval cricket precinct jigsaw is complete - the community-funded Sir Richard Hadlee Sports Centre has opened.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, one of tennis' finest stalwarts and entertainers of the past 18 years, has retired upon exiting the first round at the French Open.
