Northern Districts have clinched their first four-day Plunket Shield crown since 2011-12

Northern Districts have clinched their first four-day Plunket Shield crown since 2011-12

A 134-run win over Otago in Dunedin on the final day of the first class season was enough for the title, denying second-placed Wellington who beat Canterbury.

ND captain Jeet Raval is delighted after being pipped to the Shield last year.

Neil Wagner took five wickets for the innings and eight for the match in his last first-class fixture in New Zealand.

Black Caps batsman Mark Chapman is out of tomorrow's second ODI against Pakistan in Hamilton with a hamstring injury - ND's Tim Seifert has been called in.
