The start of the new season in football's Premier League looms this weekend - but Chris Wood admits he has a secondary green and gold target in the back of his mind

The start of the new season in football's Premier League looms this weekend - but Chris Wood admits he has a secondary green and gold target in the back of his mind

The All Whites will play a rare two-match series against the Socceroos at the start of next month - featuring games in Canberra and then Auckland.

While Nottingham Forest will only be a few weeks into a big season in the EPL and in Europe - the New Zealand skipper says he was always going to make the long trek back for the trans-Tasman double header.

It's been seven matches and 23 years since the All Whites last beat the Socceroos ... a 1-nil win at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium in 2002.
