    A disappointing start to the men's T20 Super Smash


    The Auckland Aces posted 201 for 8 against the Northern Brave on their visit to Seddon Park, before the rain set in and the match was abandoned.

    Auckland batter Bevon Jacobs top-scored with 55 off 31, days after his selection for the Black Caps T20 squad, touring India next month.

    Just 2.2 overs were possible in the women's fixture - Auckland reaching eight for one before that match was also abandoned.
