Job numbers are rising again - but are still down on a year ago

Latest Stats NZ data shows filled jobs in January were 0.2 percent higher than December, but still 0.2 percent lower than January last year.

Construction's employing 2.8 percent fewer people than a year ago.

Manufacturing jobs are down 1.6 percent.

But job numbers have recovered in public administration, healthcare and education.
