    Long term support to help thousands of Kiwis manage their Type One diabetes


    Pharmac will fund continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps, and insulin pump consumables - from October.

    Pharmaceutical funding manager, Adrienne Martin, says this is the first time the monitors have been funded.

    She says about 12 thousand people are expected to receive monitors in the first year of funding, rising to more than 18 thousand after five years.
