    A Poor rating for Tasman's iconic Kaiteriteri Beach last swimming season - for exceeding faecal bacteria standards


    Local Democracy reports the contamination was linked to a stormwater pipe draining onto the beach.

    Of 22 sea-water samples taken about 60 metres south of the pipe between November and February -- four were outside Environment and Health Ministry guidelines.
