Berries, corn, and fruit pies are in hot demand as supermarkets prepare for the Christmas rush

Berries, corn, and fruit pies are in hot demand as supermarkets prepare for the Christmas rush

Woolworths says it's expecting to sell more than a million punnets of strawberries and almost half a million fruit pies over the next few weeks.

Woolworth's Ryan McMullen says it's focused on ensuring items remain as fresh as possible.

He says berries are chilled right from grower through to when the customer picks them up in the store.
