The vaccine age cap is likely to drop in the middle of the year

The vaccine age cap is likely to drop in the middle of the year

The United States has approved the Pfizer vaccine for emergency use for those as young as 12.

Our rollout is on track to be scaled up later this year - with 800 more venues, including GPs, pharmacies, and mobile units.

Director General of Health Ashley Bloomfield says 12 to 15 year olds should get the green light from Medsafe soon.

He says it should happen in line with the wider rollout to the general population, then they can think about how they can include that group.
