    We have 178 new Covid-19 community cases in New Zealand today - and another death


    The patient in their late 50s, was admitted to Auckland City Hospital on November 5.

    Of today's confirmed cases, 149 are in Auckland, 16 in Waikato, nine in Bay of Plenty, two in Northland, and one each in Lakes and MidCentral DHB.

    The MidCentral case is in Pahiatua, following multiple detections of the virus in the wastewater over the past fortnight.

    There are 77 people in hospital, with an average age of 46, eight of them in ICU.
