Proposed changes to criteria for those at high risk of becoming severely unwell from Covid-19

Pharmac is seeking feedback on who can access two antiviral medicines, along with the process for funding and supply.

The update would mean all people aged 50 years or older with Covid and determined to be at high risk, could have access if needed.

It would also mean pharmacies and Health NZ hospitals can order what they need from wholesalers and claim back costs from Pharmac - bringing it inline with the management of other funded medicines.
