A new GP booking intiative for Healthline - 25 years after it started

A new GP booking intiative for Healthline - 25 years after it started

The advice service has grown from 16 nurses in its first year, to more than 150 nurses and paramedics managing 400-thousand contacts annually.

With its new booking intiative, launching next month, Healthline will be able to book GP appointments for callers, if they recommend it.

Whakarongorau runs Healthline and its CEO Glynis Sandland says this'll help improve continuity of care.

She says the relationship people have with their GP is very important, and leads to better health outcomes.
