Another round of work at Auckland Hospital will crank its resilience up a notch

Another round of work at Auckland Hospital will crank its resilience up a notch

Work over the next three years will upgrade its high voltage power supply, and replace its steam heating.

Design work's also beginning on replacing the hospital's ageing hot water pipes.

Health Minister Simeon Brown says Health New Zealand will manage the disruptions - but this future proofing work's essential.

He says it's about continuing the investment in electrical, heating and building management systems - so we can provide a continuity of care for patients.
