Christchurch's Heart Institute is leading the way in cardiology research

Christchurch's Heart Institute is leading the way in cardiology research

The Heart Foundation has invested 4.2 million dollars in studies, with seven of the eight grants involving researchers from Otautahi's institute.

Dr Louise Paton has received a total of half a million dollars.

She says in a time where science funding is bare, this will take care of her costs and those of the project, and allow her to collaborate with international experts.
