Patients in Dunedin Hospital's emergency department are facing longer waits than earlier this year

Patients in Dunedin Hospital's emergency department are facing longer waits than earlier this year

The ODT reports 64 percent of patients were seen within six hours in February - before dropping to a low of 58 percent in June.

The Government's goal is for 95 percent of patients to be treated in the timeframe by 2030.

The figures come amid reports of patients waiting 17 hours to be seen, being treated in the hallway, and what's been described as 'Third World' conditions.
