A man has been arrested in connection with multiple shootings in Otara about two weeks ago

Counties Manukau Police have been routinely carrying firearms since three shootings rocked the south Auckland suburb in less than 10 minutes, on Friday, November 20.

A 24-year-old man is in custody in Auckland -- after the discovery of three firearms, ammunition and a quantity of explosives at a Manurewa address.

The man is expected to appear in the Manukau District Court today charged with using a firearm recklessly, unlawful possession of weapons, ammunition and explosives.

Police expect to make further arrests.
