Police continue to hammer in the message, antisocial road use won't be tolerated

Officers have issued infringement notices, impounded vehicles and breathalysed hundreds of people across Wellington, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury overnight.

It follows another blitz across the main centres on Friday night.

At least three people have been arrested after failing to stop and fleeing Police in Palmerston North and Wellington.

Police say groups were intercepted before they could get established, stopping activity such as skids or racing.
