Police are appealing for information after a suspicious vehicle fire in Whangarei early on Thursday morning

Police are appealing for information after a suspicious vehicle fire in Whangarei early on Thursday morning

A member of the public driving on Kiripaka Road in Tikipunga around 5.30, found a vehicle on on fire on the front lawn of a residential home.

They alerted the people inside the house and helped them move another vehicle so it didn't catch fire.

Police want to speak to this person and anyone else who may have seen or heard something suspicious.
