A woman accused of throwing acid on a man in Wellington late last night - has appeared in court

A man was treated in Johnsonville last night, for nitric acid burns on his arm.

    Police say a 51-year-old woman's responsible.

Her lawyer told the court the woman has "complex" mental health issues.

She's been remanded in custody without plea until May 19.
