Stuart Nash says he refused meetings with the Waikato Mongrel Mob Kingdom when he was police minister...and doubted their PR

International police sting, Operation Trojan Shield, has seen more than 800 people arrested globally.

More than 900 charges have been laid here against 35 people - including members of the Waikato Comancheros and Mongrel Mob Kingdom, and Head Hunters.

Nash was minister when the operation began, and says the Head of the Waikato Mongrel Mob Kingdom chapter pushed sa positive message.

He says he was very dubious about them saying they were just good guys wearing patches, doing good things in the community.
