    Police believe a shooting overnight in Christchurch's Wainoni - could be gang-related


    A woman was seriously injured about 9pm last night at a Shortland Street property- with an apparent gunshot wound.

    Our newsroom understands she may not have been the intended target - mistakenly hit in a drive-by shooting

    Police say they're following good lines of enquiry searching for the person responsible, who fled in a vehicle.

    Officers remain at the scene.
