The aircraft gives them better vision across the area and rapid response capability, as people flock to celebrations such as Rhythm and Vines.
Their message is firm - dangerous driving won't be tolerated.
Commander Superintendent Jeanette Park says they're already aware of planned gatherings involving boy-racers.
She says there will be consequences for dangerous drivers, such as impounded vehicles, infringement notices, and charges.
