Principals say new Government funding won't go far to solve the problems schools face

Principals say new Government funding won't go far to solve the problems schools face

In a bid to tackle overcrowding in classrooms, Jacinda Ardern announced 100 million dollars for Short Term Roll Growth classrooms at schools across New Zealand.

Principals Federation President Perry Rush says it's pleasing to see but it only scratches the surface.

He says roll growth is one of the issues which confronts schools, but the modernisation of aging classrooms is another significant issue.
