A former local Deputy Mayor and Westland High School's Board of Trustee chair, sent students inappropriate pictures and attempted to touch them

Latham Martin , is accused of acting inappropriately towards six students.

He allegedly bought them gifts, messaged repeatedly, and asked one if they'd hypothetically perform oral sex.

He had teaching registration but was employed in a non-teaching role.

The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal has detailed how Martin broke professional boundaries between 2018 and 2021.

His teaching registration's been cancelled, and he's been ordered to pay legal costs.
