Police are asking the public to help them find who ransacked the Otara Community Preschool in south Auckland over the weekend

Property was destroyed and items stolen - between 9am Saturday and 6pm Sunday.

Police say nine windows were smashed and a microwave, oven and computers knocked over.

The preschool's been left footing the bill and children have lost belongings and educational resources.
