The Post Primary Teachers Association says poor planning is to blame for a lack of high school teachers

Ministry of Education data shows a predicted shortfall of just over seven hundred high school teachers this year.
PPTA President Chris Abercrombie says at the same time there's a predicted surplus of primary school teachers.
He says there needs to be a better managing of resources.
Abercrombie says successive Governments have refused to do proper workforce planning.
