An unexplained death at an Auckland home on New Year's Day was reportedly a three year old boy

An unexplained death at an Auckland home on New Year's Day was reportedly a three year old boy

Police were called to the property on Devonport's Kerr Street property at about 11pm.

An autopsy was done in the following days.

Our newsroom understands the property owners are related to the boy but were on holiday on Waiheke at the time of the death.

    They've declined to comment.

There are reports a group, including at least two children, using the pool at the house earlier that day.

Police have urged them to come forward.
