Kerry Katona doesn’t feel like she’s “living a life” any more due to the latest coronavirus lockdown

The 40-year-old star - who suffers from bipolar disorder - has admitted she’s been struggling with the new restrictions in the UK and her moods have been “up and down”, but she doesn’t want to complain too much because she feels lucky to have survived after contracting coronavirus last month

She said in her New! magazine column: “I’m trying to live in my own little bubble.

“I haven’t left the house in ages.

“I’ve been up and down and the other day I felt like crying.

“It’s hard for so many people.

“We’re all surviving, we’re not living a life.

"But those of us who are living are very fortunate. There have been so many deaths and we are blessed to have our lives.

“I don’t like to complain because I know that I’m one of the lucky ones.”

The mother-of-five – who is engaged to Ryan Mahoney – has always been open about her mental health struggles but does find it frustrating when her partner wants her to explain why she’s feeling down.

She said: “I’m very open and honest about it with Ryan.

“Ryan is such a positive person and he’s such an ‘uplifter’. It’s good but sometimes if I’m feeling down he’ll ask me why.

“I’m like, ‘I don’t know why!’ There’s that little bit of frustration with it.

“Even with my kids – I’m so used to just cracking on, so sometimes they forget that I do suffer with my mental health.

“One minute I can be singing and dancing, then the next I can go really quiet. It can be hard but it’s good to talk."
