Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have split

The Full House actress and the 62-year-old designer - who have daughters Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26, together - have separated after 27 years of marriage but are not planning to begin the process to divorce just yet

Lori's representative, Elizabeth Much, told People magazine: "They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time."

The news comes months after Lori, 61, and Mossimo put their 11,800 sq ft California home up for sale for %16.5 million in February, less than five years after they bought it for $9.5 million.

In May 2020, the former couple pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud after they were accused of paying $500,000 for their daughters' admission to the University of Southern California. Their offspring were falsely designated as recruits for the establishment's crew team, despite neither participating in the sport.

Lori was sentenced to two months in prison and Mossimo was put behind bars for five months.

Although the Fall Into Winter actress hasn't spoken directly about the scandal, last year she opened up about not wanting to "hang onto negativity" and the importance of forgiveness.

She told First for Women magazine: "I try to be a forgiving person. I'm not one to hold onto stuff. Stuff happens to everyone. We've all been in positions to ask for forgiveness but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.

"My family wasn't one to hold grudges. I didn't grow up in a household where if you made a mistake, you weren't forgiven.

"No one is perfect, we all make mistakes. So I was always told to let stuff go. And I think for your own health, you have to let things go because you can't hang on to negativity. Life's too short."

And Lori believes it is essential to "keep moving forward" no matter what happens.

She said: "As an actress, I hear 'no' a lot, so I just have to be myself and persevere and try not to let in negativity.

"My advice is to just keep moving forward. Everyone has good times and bad times. That's life. I think you just have to pick yourself up. Nobody said life was going to be a breeze. There's beauty in life, but there's also hardship in life."
