Taylor Swift's ex Joe Jonas has given his seal of approval to her latest album

The 36-year-old musician briefly dated the pop megastar in 2008, and he clearly still enjoys listening to her tunes after praising her new record, The Life of a Showgirl, as "good"

He told Esquire magazine: "I've heard some of it.

"I think she's obviously the biggest artist out there, and I think it's good."

Joe also admitted the songs he has heard on the LP have some "catchy melodies".

He added: "Everybody's got an opinion about it, but from what I've heard, there are some catchy melodies."

Joe went on to marry Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner in 2019, but the pair - who have daughters, Willa, five, and Delphine, three - divorced last year.

He is currently on the road with his Jonas Brothers bandmates and brothers Kevin, 37, and Nick, 33, on their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, which makes it tricky to go on dates.

When asked if he's currently dating, he said: "Five shows in a row doesn't make it easy to meet someone for coffee."

The Sucker hitmaker also insisted he is not on dating apps, but Joe admitted he has met potential suitors via Instagram and TikTok.

He said: "I guess Instagram and TikTok are apps, and I've met people that way."

In May, Joe told how Sophie is an "incredible mom".

Speaking to Jay Shetty during his On Purpose Live Tour, he said: "I have a beautiful co-parenting relationship that I'm really grateful for. Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true."

The singer wants his children to have strong female role models in their lives.

Joe explained: "As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them.

"I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence and know that they can do literally anything they want."
