Pete Davidson can't wait to show his baby The Sopranos

The former Saturday Night Live star and his partner Elsie Hewitt are expecting their first child together and the only thing the 32-year-old comic "needs" for his offspring is for them to enjoy his favourite TV show just as much as he does.

Explaining he plans to screen the Mafia drama to his child "as early as possible", Pete told People magazine: "That's the only thing I really need is, from my soul, is for them to enjoy The Sopranos the way I do.

"And then everything else, I just want it to be happy.

"I just want this thing to be healthy and come out as soon as possible.

"So, as long as that, and that seems to be what's going on, I'll be thrilled."

Elsie left Pete "shocked" with a special Sopranos-themed birthday surprise last month.

Discussing how he celebrated on 16 November, he said: "Elsie and I did my favourite thing, which is like nothing. We watched this whole show called All Her Fault, which was pretty great.

"And she made me a cake and then somehow got all The Sopranos people that are still alive to wish me happy birthday [in a video].

"I was shocked. It was really cool."

The couple were also joined by Pete's mom, who made the chicken cutlers she is "Staten Island famous for".

He said: "Everyone on the block in Staten Island that she lives on knows that she can make chicken cutlets.

"It was a pretty great day."

The Bupkis star has promised he and Elsie won't be giving their child a "weird Hollywood" name.

He said: "For a while, we were like, should we do that weird Hollywood thing where it's like a colour or something? And then I think we're more into the Staten Island normal.

"Mikey, Johnny, Tommy, Mark or Amy, Bridget, Maggie, sort of route, because that's missing, I miss that. Remember when you were growing up, you knew like seven Franks?"

However, the couple may go for something less conventional as a middle name.

He added: "We were thinking the middle name could be a little fun."
